NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Diversified Trust, an independent comprehensive wealth management firm, recently welcomed Jeffrey Carson, JD, LLM, CWPA, as a Senior Vice President at the company’s Nashville office where he is a member of the firm’s client service team, with a focus on wealth strategies and planning.

Prior to joining Diversified Trust, Carson served as a senior vice president and a senior trust officer at U.S. Trust Co., where he used his extensive technical fiduciary knowledge to develop solutions for clients’ tax, fiduciary investing, and estate planning needs. Previously, Carson was a managing attorney at Vasallo Law, P.L., where he established and managed a Middle Tennessee office for a Florida-based boutique law firm. While overseeing all client development and servicing for Tennessee and Mississippi, he prepared estate planning vehicles, evaluated suitability of advanced wealth transfer plans and designed effective business succession plans.
Active in many community and professional organizations, Carson serves on the board of The Westhaven Foundation, The Planned Giving Council of Middle Tennessee, and the Executive Council of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Tennessee Bar Association. He is also an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Middle Tennessee, the Williamson County Bar Association and The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, and the District 6 Investigation Committee of the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners. Additionally, he is currently serving a five-year term as a Commissioner on the Historic Zoning Commission for the City of Franklin, Tennessee.
Carson received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Mississippi and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Mississippi College School of Law. He also received a Master of Laws (LL.M) in estate planning from the University of Miami Law School.
