San Joaquin Valley Homes Closes 323 Residences and Opens Three New Communities in 2017

Local Homebuilder Plans to Open Five New Communities in 2018

VISALIA, Calif., Feb. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- San Joaquin Valley Homes (SJV Homes) had another successful year in 2017, selling 349 homes and opening three new communities. The locally based homebuilder, which celebrated its fourth year in business last July, recently achieved the milestone of closing on its 1,000th home.

SJV Homes was the second busiest homebuilder in the entire Valley last year, with more building permits pulled than its competitors except Lennar. Most of these homes were constructed in Tulare County, where SJV Homes has long been the dominant builder. In 2017, the company also topped the list in King County with permits issued for 70 new single-family homes, according to data provided by the Construction Monitor, which tracks public building records nationwide.

“We’re honored to provide quality homes for our local neighbors, and we look forward to an even busier year in 2018,” said Joe Leal, co-founder for Visalia-based San Joaquin Valley Homes. “Our goal is to open at least five new communities, bringing a total of 577 new homes to the Valley where we live and work.”

In 2017, SJV Homes opened three projects: Mountain View, 32 units in Hanford; Chandler Park, 114 units in Visalia; and Chelsea West, 145 units in Visalia. This year, SJV Homes plans to open five new communities: Catalina II, 51 units in Tulare; Brighton, 115 units in Tulare; Bella Vista, 142 units in Hanford; Summerlyn 150 units in Kingsburg; Kensington, 119 units in Tulare. The following projects are scheduled to break ground in 2018: Ashton Park, 91 units in Visalia; Greystone, 127 units in Visalia; and Bonterra in Hanford. Also, in 2018, the following projects are scheduled to close out: Sedona at Palo Verde, 106 homes in Tulare; Mountain View, 32 units in Hanford; and San Marino, 95 homes in Visalia.

Founded in 2013 by Leal, Jim Robinson and Randy Merrill, SJV Homes has been among the top four homebuilders in the San Joaquin Valley since 2014, its first full year in business, and has been growing steadily ever since.
