SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 05, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SPYRUS, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of Rosetta® security products that meet the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS 3.2) multifactor authentication (MFA) requirements necessary for compliant administrative access of online payment systems. MFA was initially expressed as guidance and will transition to a mandated requirement in this month (February 2018). The SPYRUS Rosetta microSDHC and the Rosetta USB devices, categorized as “Removable (Non-Embedded) Hardware Cryptographic Tokens,” each include an embedded Rosetta HSM. Both are NIST certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3, meeting the requirements of the NIST SP800-164 and SP800-157 referenced in the PCI DSS 3.2 requirements.
“SPYRUS security solutions uniquely support PCI DSS 3.2 with a certified NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 3 hardware root of trust based on more than 25 years of leadership in the hardware cryptography industry,” said Daniel E. Turissini, SPYRUS CTO. “Our Information Assurance/ Cyber Security expertise has consistently deployed product and services that protect the most sensitive data for governments across the globe. SPYRUS has leveraged this experience to develop a suite of security products and capabilities that are unmatched, ideal for meeting the MFA requirements and managing high assurance devices easily and at cost effective price points certain to achieve a significant return on investment for our customers.”
The SPYRUS versatile security devices interface with a wide range of mobile and portable computing devices and can be centrally managed by the SPYRUS Enterprise Management System (SEMS) to enforce organizational policy. SEMS avoids the opportunity for malicious or non-malicious changes to the device settings. Available either as an on premise server or SEMSaaS cloud-based management system, SEMS enforces endpoint security. Enterprise administration and control includes a central register, block/ unblock, password reset, revoke, set policies such as expiration and approved computer list, audit, and “kill” of the deployed SPYRUS Rosetta devices. SEMS features Active Directory integration across globally distributed domains with cryptographic enforcement of approved host computer lists that restrict computing devices your SPYRUS Rosetta devices can operate on, and support for.
“All of the SPYRUS security products are readily available online, through our resellers and distribution partners, and through Insight’s Schedule 70 program, under GSA Schedule GS-35F-0009U,” said Tom Dickens, SPYRUS COO. “SPYRUS products are quickly integrated into Microsoft Windows and Linux environments, eliminating the need to struggle with complex software based solutions that slow down computer assets and cause user work-arounds or disablement. SPYRUS certified devices save costly recurring administrative and compliance cycles and provide auditable and cost effective enterprise control of remote and BYOD deployments.”
