Mountain Peak Marketing Donates to Move for Hunger Foundation

PIKESVILLE, MD, Feb. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Mountain Peak Marketing team has announced their involvement with the Move for Hunger Foundation’s local Pikesville chapter. They will be donating canned and un-perishable goods to the charity to be taken to a local food shelter.

According to the Move for Hunger Foundation’s website, the charity attains most of their donations via individuals and families relocating to new homes. The foundation understands that moving homes usually results in home owners throwing away perfectly fine food for the sake of not having to move it along with their other belongings.

The foundation was established in 2009 and had managed to collect over 50,000 pounds of food. As the years passed, the charity grew substantially and has since been honored at the VH1 Do Something Awards in 2011. After launching new programs for real estate and corporate housing, the charity reached an incredible milestone by collecting over seven million pounds of food by 2016, a mere seven years after starting their mission.

It is no wonder than, why Director of Operations at Mountain Peak Marketing, Alex Amos, decided to pair with the organization. Even through the director wasn’t personally moving himself, the team’s donation was graciously accepted.

“We weren’t exactly moving, but we still wanted to get involved and give back to the community,” explained Amos.

This isn’t the first philanthropic endeavor that the Mountain Peak Marketing team has participated in. Just last month, the team worked with the “We All Can Help” campaign to help feed the homeless population in the Baltimore area.

According to Mountain Peak Marketing’s website, the company’s corporate culture highly values charity and giving back to the community. This sentiment is something that Amos has aimed to instill in all of his employees and anyone he mentors in business over all.
“There’s so much that we can do to lend a helping hand to our fellow man. I believe it’s important to give back whenever you can. Whether it’s food, money or time that you can give, give what you can,” stated Amos.

The Mountain Peak Marketing team hasn’t yet announced the name of the next charity that they’ll be working with. However, Amos stated that just because the first two charity functions of 2018 has been centered around food donations, he is open to other philanthropic ventures as well.
