CloudPassage included in Top 3 report for container management and DevOps vendors by Enterprise Management Associates

Influential report identifies the top priorities for successful container implementation

SAN FRANCISCO, March 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CloudPassage, the leader in automated cloud workload and container security, today announced inclusion in Enterprise Management Associates’ (EMA) “10 Priorities for Container Management and DevOps in Production and at Scale in 2018 (EMA Top 3)” based on criteria obtained from surveying 300 US enterprises.

Container management is the number one IT priority in 2018, with 72 percent of US enterprises facing the challenge of getting containers back under the control of corporate IT1. EMA’s report enables enterprises to drill into the 10 top priorities for successful container implementation within a DevOps context, and offers product recommendations to help optimally address each one of these priorities.

“EMA selected CloudPassage as an EMA Top 3 vendor in our Container Management at Scale Decision Guide, as CloudPassage Container Secure enables IT operators to manage container policies and security consistently with traditional IT infrastructure resources. Based on this latest research, consistent security and compliance management is the number one pain point for enterprises when it comes to containers,” says Torsten Volk, Senior Analyst, EMA.

CloudPassage recently debuted Container Secure, a broad set of automated compliance and security controls for containers. Container Secure is the only solution currently on the market that secures all three parts of container environments: container images, running containers and the container engine/host. The solution, which comes packaged as a core component of the CloudPassage Halo® platform, ensures a monitored and secured containerized environment for enterprises. Container Secure covers five key elements essential to container security: host security, continuous image assurance, runtime configuration assessment, visibility and compliance, and DevOps ecosystem integration.

“The containers ecosystem represents an entirely new attack surface that is disrupting security and compliance processes as they are gaining rapid adoption,” said Cliff Turner, Senior Solutions Architect at CloudPassage. “Our customers need one platform to protect both hosts and containers running on them, and we are now able to deliver that with CloudPassage Container Secure.”
