Jitterbit Empowers Higher Learning Institutions to Build Connected Campuses as a Salesforce.org Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA) Core Compatible Partner

ALAMEDA, Calif., April 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jitterbit, the API transformation company, today announced that its integration platform has been certified to empower higher learning institutions to connect all of their data and applications to the Salesforce platform using its purpose-built Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA). As one of just seven vendors designated HEDA Core Compatible, Jitterbit provides an API integration platform that makes it easy for colleges and universities to bring any type of information from any system to build a connected campus and 360-degree view of the student lifecycle.

In today’s world of higher education, engaging and staying connected with students is more important than ever. These institutions need a way to accurately manage student, staff, and faculty information – from class schedules to tuition bills to paychecks and much more. That currently involves multiple systems and cumbersome data silos. Jitterbit’s API integration platform works with HEDA to provide out-of-the-box functionality for colleges and universities to act on data from any system, in Salesforce. This means that students get the right schedules and bills, staff and faculty have the information they need to do their jobs successfully, and it’s easier for anyone across the organization to adopt and use new technologies. Designed for everyone ranging from citizen integrators to specialized developers, Jitterbit makes it easy to connect and automate processes across any application or database.

“Higher ed organizations are working to bridge technology and teaching, especially as today’s students want to engage instantaneously with any part of the school using any device,” said Simon Peel, Chief Strategy Officer and CMO at Jitterbit. “As a HEDA Core Compatible partner, Jitterbit is able to securely integrate data from any system or application and automate manual processes for instant information sharing.”

Delivering an Out-of-the-Box Solution for the Connected Campus

Salesforce.org worked with partners and customers to design HEDA as a tailor-made organizing system that meets the specific needs of higher learning organizations. Before HEDA, higher ed admins had to spend months—and devote heavy IT resources—to create data architectures by hand and from scratch because no standard was available. Just two years after it was introduced, more than 600 production organizations are now live with HEDA.

Jitterbit belongs to the first contingent of HEDA Core Compatible partners, and its long experience working with Salesforce.org and higher ed customers, along with rigorous testing involved in the partner program, ensures that HEDA integrations built on the Jitterbit platform connect easily and function properly. More than 50 colleges and universities leverage Jitterbit’s API integration platform, including Allegheny College, Cornell Johnson School of Business, UCLA Anderson School of Business, University of California San Francisco (UCSF), and the University of Miami. As part of the Core Compatible program, Jitterbit also worked to produce best practices and documentation for HEDA integrations that is available to all customers.

Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, used the Jitterbit platform to connect different applications to the Salesforce platform, which the school adopted as its recruiting CRM. With Jitterbit, Taylor University was able to integrate its existing application process, marketing tools, and financial aid solution with Salesforce to create a centralized dashboard that everyone could use to find the most up-to-date information.

“Jitterbit transformed the way our admissions counselors and office staff interact with data from all of our different systems, providing a 360-degree view of our students and applicants, without having to look in multiple places for that information,” said Taylor University Enrollment Systems Administrator Susanne Ours. “It’s surprisingly easy to set up - I’m not an IT person and if I can do it, anybody can. We’ve been able to automate many administrative processes that used to be handled manually, freeing up our staff to focus on activities that demand a more personal touch.”
