Los Angeles Fashion Week Celebrates 10 Seasons of Amazing Fashion with 33 International Designers

LOS ANGELES, April 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Los Angeles Fashion Week powered by Art Hearts Fashion celebrated its 10th Season anniversary massive event with thousands of international designers and guests. The event presented by AIDS Healthcare Foundation was the stand out event of fashion week.

Opening night kicked off with project runway winner Kentaro Kameyama showing a beautiful collection, from overly exaggerated puffy sleeves and skirts to dreamy silhouettes. Kentaro also debut his first ever Men’s collection on the runway and left us with an itch for more. Fernando Alberto Atelier, continuing with the family legacy, brought the “DIVINE” to this year’s show. Printed graphics of religious entities were on display in some of the most beautifully detailed pieces. Project runway all-star Candice Cuoco brought the heat with her “Belladonna” collection. Show stopping seductive black and red leather pieces rocked the runway invoking the provocative and strength of a woman followed by Nathalia Gaviria. Known for her fun and edgy pieces, the collection opened up with oversized coats beautifully stitched together with intricate designs. Layered pieces with a mix of fabrics, trims and embellishments gave us a chic esthetic. Day one ended with a surprise runway show, featuring collaboration between artist Domingo Zapata and designer Agatha Ruiz De La Prada from Spain. Attendees were treated to one of a kind creations with a powerful artistic blend of graffiti and media on the runway.

Day 2 kicked off with 2Eros Australian brand designed by Jason Hoeung opened day 2 featuring swimwear, body wear and activewear with clean cut and high quality design. Czarina Kaftans collection followed featuring dresses and swimwear in vibrant colors and prints. These pieces are wearable for any size and can take you from the beach to an evening out. Luxurious crystals were used to exacerbate the necklines. Jonathan Marc Stein, a young designer with an artistic eye for design, showcased unique shapes, color combinations, and the most mouth dropping evening pieces. Nazia Rahman displayed her ‘Rhythm of Pastel and Glitter’ with her own culture beautifully evident in each piece. The designer sought to create a collection for high tea party wear. Danny Nguyen featuring TSOL Apparel emitted essence of cool. Everything about the presentation, down to the center of it all the garments themselves, carried a worldly and refined spirit. Closing the night celebrity designer Willfredo Gerardo captivated the audience displaying a variety of textures and fabrics. Every piece carried its own personality. The collection carried sensuality and elegance like no other.

Daniel Bohbot, creator of Hale Bob, opened up night 3 with elegant women’s wear that consisted of delicate silk floral prints, colorful flowing fabrics and glittering textures. From layered floral wrap dresses, and an aqua colored sparkly two-piece tracksuit that would make any woman feel confident and chic. Siwy Denim opened up with a denim lovers dream runway! Everything from distress denim separates, bedazzled biker jackets paired with cotton SIWY t-shirts all vintage inspired with a playful, yet sexy edge. A denim jacket with accent pearls of various sizes were intricately placed displaying a softer side to denim. Dan Richters took us on a whimsical journey down the runway with intricately designed body hugging dresses adorned with harnesses that reflected the image of a face. His artistic and love for mythology & fantasy were on clear display in this collection. Following was Burning Guitars with graphics ranging from cartoon characters to graphic prints and many, many more. Bomber jackets, dresses and separates were a few of the styles presented.

Day 4 Lulu Harazin collection embodied feminine designs with luxury portraying femininity. The fabrics used flowed throughout the runway with detailed beading and stones. Melissa Mercedes plus size collection focused on creating looks that make you look and feel great. Her collection was bold, creative and sent an empowering message to women of every size. Diana Couture’s collection was very innovative, every single garment that walked down the runway was designed with so much detail grabbing the audience's attention. All these designs were very unique in the way it contoured the body.

Arzamendi Style brought an enchanting collection with signature elegance and style. The Rene’ Tyler plus size collection started off with a beautiful glittery black outfit with a plunging neckline that resembled the night sky strutting down the runway. Charles and Ron wowed us with their bright and colorful collection, known in the industry for their blend of contemporary and Mediterranean style. Many of these outfits showed off bags that could walk the runway themselves.

Mexican designer Benito Santos brought us a strong collection with a tasteful palette of pastel pink and blue, glittering black, to off whites. Models wore tops that were sheer black with geometric pastel colored shapes paired with mermaid skirts. Surprise runway show at the Impulse Gala opened with Love Over H8 apparel spreading messages of love and acceptance followed by Mondo Guerra the first project Runway All star winner sealed the night with his innovative style and bold prints.

Closing Night Sue Wong Retrospect and Extravaganza was a highlight of the week. “I represent the eternal feminine,” the designer shared with the audience. Her designs displayed over the top intricate detailing and an array of textures. Models strutted the runway adorned in remarkable headpieces. The designer was honored with a lifetime achievement award from Art Hearts Fashion for her 50 years of dedication to the design industry. Kenneth Barlis followed with looks that you once thought only existed in fairytales. The young designer displayed looks for both men and women that were fit for kings and queens alike. Madame Adassa mixed romantic Flowy dresses and voluminous sleeves detailed throughout the show, along with shimmering gold and royal blue textiles that were truly fit for a queen. The powerful show embodied feminine empowerment and timeless beauty. Designer Ricky Lindsay unveiled ethereal and organic forms. Garments constructed of soft-toned tulle, draped over the models gave the audience a scene of pastel goddesses floating down the runway. Dunyah brought its alternative streetwear to the pavement of Los Angeles for closing night with a collection composed of strong textures, functional layers, and trendy prints. Looks included joggers and tracksuits in a marbled gray print, citing the surroundings of the “concrete jungle” it thrives in. A pallet of black and grey were prominent through the collection of this high-end rendition of street attire.

Designer, founder and president of Art Hearts Fashion Erik Rosete closed the week with his label Mister Triple X. The collection titled "World War X" opened up with celebrity tattoo model Jimmy Q walking down Military themed hats & coats, velvet bomber jackets, leather racer jackets were all embellished with metallic spikes, patches and strategically placed zippers to accentuate the body. This collection gave us a strong military inspired vibe with an edgy twist. The show featured Miss Costa Rica Karina Ramos, The Castillo Twins, Fitness Model Parker Egerton, and celebrity guest models Brendan Gibbons, Iggy, Miss Philippines USA Jazlynn Dizon, Antoni Bialy, Daniel James, Andrew Biernat, and more for a sexy grand finale to fashion week.
