Coast to Coast Events reaches out to local community through involvement with Cultivate Church

Hoover, AL, April 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With the arrival of spring, Coast to Coast Events once again supports Cultivate Church to help serve Shelby and surrounding counties through the annual Helicopter Egg Drop.

Since planting their headquarters in Hoover several years ago, Coast to Coast Events has believed in the power of corporate philanthropy and the importance of giving back. Through their growing partnership with Cultivate Church, Coast to Coast Events has found several ways to help charities both locally through out the Birmingham area, as well as on a national level. 2018 is no exception to this pattern of generosity.

Cultivate Church, who planted its’ first location in Alabaster in 2012, has a long-standing reputation for being generous and selfless. Annually, Cultivate Church reaches out to the Jefferson and Shelby county community through their Helicopter Easter Egg drop. This event is completely free of charge to the community and provides food, fun and entertainment for all visitors! The main event, the helicopter egg drop, includes twenty thousand plastic Easter eggs, filled with forty thousand pieces of candy, being dropped from a hovering helicopter into an open field. Once dropped, kids of all ages run to collect eggs and enjoy the candy inside! In 2017 alone, this popular March event was able to accommodate between ten thousand and twelve thousand guests! This Easter, Cultivate Church hosted their 5th Annual Egg Drop on Saturday March 31st. Located at Veterans Park on 119 in Alabaster. An astounding TWENTY THOUSAND people were estimated to take part in the free event. Which is nearly double the estimate from 2017 Easter egg drop.

For the past few years, Coast to Coast Events has held this event in a special place in the team’s heart. They participate by providing forty thousand pieces of candy to be stuffed in the eggs, as well as time helping stuff the eggs. Alice, the office manager at the Hoover branch, told us, “It is (Easter) the best time of the year! It warms my heart to see my team give their Saturday morning up to help stuff SO many Easter eggs with candy. Its that community feeling we have here that is my favorite part of my job!

With Cultivate Church as a partner, Coast to Coast has learned more ways to give of their time and resources. It was through Cultivate that C2C gained a partner in Causely, which provides their charity of the month program! As they did in 2017, Coast to Coast Events, through Causely, worked with Soles4Souls for the month of January. Soles4Souls is a Nashville, TN based charity that focuses on providing shoes and clothing for those in need around the world (Learn more about them here).  By promoting “check-ins” and “tags” with their social media, the C2C Events team was able to do their part in providing nearly thirty-five thousand coats for those in need. With the first week of January breaking temperature lows for the beginning of the year in many cities, the thoughtfulness of Coast to Coast Events couldn’t have come at a better time! (Read more about record lows here.) The C2C has also contributed to Toys for Tots through this program, helping provide nearly ten thousand books for children nationally in December of 2017. The marketing team also joined with “Feed a Billion” in November of 2017 to help provide 323,429 meals across the globe.

Cody Lowery, President of Coast to Coast Events told us, “It’s important that we think of more than ourselves. While we see success, there are people and organizations that need help and support! Success shouldn’t separate you from those in need, but rather give you a tool to bring those down on hard times up!” With such a philosophy to live by, it is not doubt that the leader of the growing team shows his support to national charities monthly. Beyond Soles4Souls, this year Coast to Coast has worked with “Hope for Haiti”, “Vitamin Angels” and is looking forward to partnering with “The Autism Site” in April.

Cultivate Church also introduced Lowery and his team about the Brother Bryan mission, as well as other missions in the downtown Birmingham area, where the team has given out meals and toiletry kits. Coast to Coast Events also has been able to support Brother Bryan mission through clothing and food drives.

C2C and Cody Lowery continue to put their energy not only into nurturing their surrounding community, but also into cultivating their team, and member’s goals. Spending valuable time working one on one with each employee, Coast to Coast gains a sense of each other’s personal priorities. This opens the door for new areas of growth and learning throughout the team. Through their management training program, each account manager can gain management experience, organizational skills, and transferable communication skills, first hand. Experiences gained through volunteer and growth opportunities help develop the Coast to Coast team more deeply. As Coast to Coast Events continues to invest in their team and community, we can only expect to see remarkable results from this growing marketing giant!
