The Craig McConnon Group is pleased to announce further expansion plans to the company with a team of over 30 people in place as of May 2018. The company was set up 5 years ago by leading DJ, Craig McConnon and has steadily increased since incorporation. The company has a number of high profile DJs who work alongside Craig McConnon, as well as highly experience sound and lighting technicians too.
Craig McConnon added “Its been an exciting time for us in 2018 and we have made leaps and bounds in terms of our progress. In March we added two new DJs to our team and that has helped us substantially grow as a company. We are able to cover more events and I have a lot of confidence in the two new additions. Furthermore, we also secured two new locations in Leicester and Nottingham in March as well so we also have much more coverage as opposed to just covering events in London”.
The Craig McConnon Group originally started by offering gigs in London where Craig McConnon was the sole DJ. Lighting and sound was not offered at the start and it was just Craig himself. Over the last 5 years, they have employed a highly specialist team of experts who can cover everything including DJ services, lighting, sound, special effects and much more. The company has grown considerably with Craig’s expansion plans. The company aims to cover all events across the UK and to secure venues across all of the UK in the near future.
Craig McConnon added “In March we also added two new members of staff who are effectively the senior management and they are essentially helping me to run the company. They now take control of the day to day running and it allows me to do what I do best. I am concentrating on finding new gigs and helping plan the gigs as well. These two new employees have given me more freedom to work directly at the events and to go back to being a DJ. Running a company is an extremely hard job and I am glad I made the decision to appoint these two new employees who I am delighted with. The company is heading in the right direction and I am excited for what the future holds for us”.
The Craig McConnon Group is also in advanced discussions about securing further venues in Sheffield, Leeds and Liverpool and hope to add these locations very shortly. Adding these 3 will add to Leicester and Nottingham which were added in March 2018. This will mean the company will now offer their services in 6 locations across the UK which includes London. The company has exciting expansions plans to try and add 1 new location each month and to slowly start covering the whole of the UK.
Craig McConnon added “I had hoped to have our locations in Sheffield, Leeds and Liverpool confirmed for the end of last month, but we have had some delays and some set backs, so it has not been entirely straight forward. I am still hopeful that we can confirm these venue locations as they are fantastic and I feel our clients will love these places. We are in advanced negotiations and if all goes well, I hope to have these locations in place by the end of April 2018. As always, I will keep everyone informed and as soon as we have them secure, I hope to have events in place right away. All of our team will be able to cover any of these locations so events can start being booked right away”.
The Craig McConnon Group constantly visits new locations and typically only picks 1-2 locations from every 15-20 that they visit. Craig McConnon personally visits each location with his senior team to ensure that the location has the right feel to hold that perfect event. The team are constantly expanding and the plan is to have a minimum of 10 locations where they can cover across the UK by the end of 2018.
