Husson University Offers Mount Ida College Students the Opportunity to Complete their Education at Half the Price

BANGOR, MAINE, April 23, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With Mount Ida closing next month, the college’s students are scrambling to find other educational options where they can complete their degrees. Fortunately for many of these students, Husson University in Bangor, Maine offers comparable programs for less than half of what they were paying in tuition at Mount Ida College.

As the home of Maine’s largest College of Business, Husson University is also an option for anyone pursuing degrees in accounting, marketing, and sport management.

Students who email their transcripts to Smith at smithad@husson.edu will receive transfer credit approval within 24 hours. With this information in hand, Mount Ida students will know exactly how many credits Husson University will accept. “That’s vital information students and parents can use to make an informed educational choice,” Said Smith.

In addition, students who complete their application and send it in, along with their transcript, will be notified within 24 hours of their admission status. This gives students the option to lock into a new University to complete their degrees within days.  Husson University accepts up to 90 transfer credits making it a more feasible option for Mount Ida students heading into their senior year. Husson also offers of a variety of on campus housing options, including brand new townhouses, on an accelerated basis. “Less than one-year old, our townhouses are a great and convenient way for a group of friends to live together,” said Pamela Kropp-Anderson, Husson University’s dean of student life. “That can lead to improved academic performance. Students have some terrific dining options. They can prepare their meals in their own townhouse kitchens, or they can sign up for a campus meal plans with dining services.”
