Taipei, Taiwan, May 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan conducted an orientation at Taiwan Innovation Agricultural Machinery Pavilion with the spirit of the New Southbound Policy on April 27. Ambassadors and representatives from 14 countries have visited the pavilion in person. Minister Tsung-Hsien Lin from Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan explained that Taiwan produces high quality agriculture machinery; grain dryers famous worldwide; low-temperature silos and greenhouse environment control facilities unmatched anywhere! Minister Tsung-Hsien Lin spoke of enhancing cooperation with the countries around the world, especially those in the New Southbound Policy. Through the Taiwan Innovation Agricultural Machinery Pavilion Minister Tsung-Hsien Lin described Taiwan’s plans to widen the export market and make Taiwan an even stronger partner to the agricultural development of countries around the world.
Ambassadors are amazed at the ingenious and practical nature of the agricultural machinery produced in Taiwan.
The Council of Agriculture held an orientation in order to promote Taiwan’s high quality agricultural machinery and to realize the New Southbound Policy. The orientation attracted ambassadors and representatives from 14 countries including Burkina Faso, Guatemala, Haiti, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Swaziland, St. Lucia, Thailand, Turkey and Tuvalu to come and visit in person. At the same time, members of the Overseas Youth Vocational Training Workshop from Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia arrived to study and take a hands-on view of the latest in Taiwan’s advanced agriculture machinery. Everyone remarked with admiration at the advanced and efficient features of Taiwan’s agricultural machinery and many expressed interest in importing both machinery and the latest techniques back to their countries.
The Taiwan Innovation Agricultural Machinery Pavilion- promoting diplomatic relations through agriculture machinery and helping to form win-win agriculture cooperation between Taiwan and countries worldwide.
According to the Council of Agriculture more than 200,000 people have visited the Taiwan Innovation Agricultural Machinery Pavilion since it was opened on April 4 with a total order amount of over 20 million NT dollars so far! The orientation held on April 27 was not only for promoting diplomatic relationships through agriculture machinery but also serves as a means to publicize Taiwan’s strength in agricultural machinery and to widen exports. Through the participation of ambassadors and the Overseas Youth Vocational Training Workshop we hope to see widened opportunities for agents to represent Taiwan’s agricultural machinery abroad; to strengthen our communication with key agricultural sectors worldwide and to see exports of agricultural machinery to every country in the world increase, where win-win relationships of long-standing are established on the shared goal of increased agricultural output.

The Council of Agriculture reported that the sale of agricultural machinery in Taiwan reaches as high as 10 billion NT dollars and export sales as high as 6 billion NT dollars. One goal for the future: expanding exporting market size.
