Indico Selected as Finalist for MIT Sloan CIO Symposium’s Innovation Showcase

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 15th annual MIT Sloan CIO Symposium recently named Indico as one of ten finalists for the 2018 Innovation Showcase. Indico’s Enterprise AI solution for unstructured content represents a cutting-edge solution that provides both strong value and innovation to the enterprise IT space. Indico will receive key exposure to many of the world’s most creative and influential IT executives at the CIO Symposium on May 23, 2018.

“We’re really honored to be recognized by the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium,” said Tom Wilde, CEO of Indico. “Despite all the hype around artificial intelligence and machine learning, enterprises are really struggling to apply these technologies to unstructured content, which makes up over 80% of the data in most organizations. By enabling users to create customized machine learning models with much smaller data sets and less data science expertise, we’re helping them solve their unstructured content challenges and enabling them to take advantage of the significant business benefits that AI and machine learning have to offer.”

Indico is an enterprise AI solution specifically designed for text, images, and other unstructured content. The company’s solution helps enterprises automate tedious back-office tasks, improve the efficiency of labor-intensive document-based workflows, and extract valuable insights from existing enterprise content. The company’s breakthrough in solving these challenges is an approach known as transfer learning, which allows users to train machine learning models with orders of magnitude less data than required by traditional content analysis techniques. With Indico, enterprises are now able to benefit from the dramatic advantages of machine learning in a fraction of the time and effort.

“We are thrilled to award these 10 companies for our 2018 Innovation Showcase,” said Anton Teodorescu, Co-Chair of the Innovation Showcase. “The finalists represent leading edge technologies that will enable enterprises to up their digital game from vision to execution.”
