BenefitView™ enhancements enable employers to continuously monitor and support all Medicare-eligible retirees

Updated Willis Towers Watson platform allows employers to retain oversight of the experience of all Medicare-eligible retirees as they choose new individual Medicare coverage

ARLINGTON, Va., May 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- When employers and plan sponsors move their Medicare-eligible retirees from group coverage to an individual marketplace, they still want to have visibility to ensure retirees are receiving exceptional service and purchasing appropriate coverage. In response to this need, Willis Towers Watson (NASDAQ:WLTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, has released an updated version of its BenefitView platform, which provides real-time data and insights that allow employers and plan sponsors to monitor their retirees’ experience choosing and enrolling in new coverage.

BenefitView enhancements include the ability for employers to monitor their retirees who age into Medicare or retire after the initial group has moved to the Medicare marketplace.  Using the updated platform, employers receive the information they need to understand enrollment and carrier selection information, insights into retirees’ health reimbursement accounts (including funding and claims reports), average wait times to speak to a call center representative and average call length. They can also access real-time key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to help manage service levels for a holistic picture of their retirees’ experience choosing and enrolling in new medical, prescription drug and other insurance products.

“Employers and plan sponsors partner with Willis Towers Watson to ensure their ability to honor their commitment to retirees while reducing long-term financial liabilities and administrative burdens,” said Ben Pajak, Individual Marketplace lead, Willis Towers Watson. “BenefitView provides our clients with real-time data, authorized HIPAA self-management, KPIs and insights to feel confident their retirees needs are being met.”

Since its introduction in 2012, the BenefitView portal has been used by more than 400 Willis Towers Watson clients to track the enrollment activities of close to 1.5 million retirees, with enrollment group sizes ranging from 100 to 200,000.

Attendees of the Information Builders Summit 2018 User Conference in Orlando, FL, will have the opportunity to learn more about BenefitView at a session titled “Modern Customer-Facing Portal Unites an Organization With Its Customers” featuring Manesh Kitanhoth, senior director, Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence for Willis Towers Watson’s Individual Marketplace. The session takes place at 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 22.

Willis Towers Watson’s Individual Marketplace offers a proven marketplace environment to help retirees transition from group plans to individual private Medicare plans. Retirees gain peace of mind knowing their employers are continuing to support them throughout the transition and beyond.
