Aton Submits Study to the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority (EMRA) in Support of Its Hamama West Project

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aton Resources Inc. (TSXV:AAN) (“Aton” or the “Company") is very pleased to announce that it has submitted a study completed by Wardell Armstrong International Ltd. to EMRA in support of its application for an exploitation license at its Hamama project.

“Today we submitted a study to EMRA required as part of our exploitation licence application,” said Mark Campbell, President and CEO. “Aton has been working at Hamama since 2008, with the exception of the three years of force majeure during the revolution and we are extremely pleased to have now completed this study, which moves us toward obtaining our 20 year Exploitation License, which if granted can be extended again.  Once granted, the license also grants the Company an automatic 4-year extension to the Exploration License over its selected exploration areas within the Abu Marawat Concession.  We look forward to beginning the first steps in the process of developing our Hamama project."

A decision to commence production at Hamama will be based on the results of a preliminary economic assessment, which the Company is in the process of preparing.
