Umicore is leading the way in clean mobility


Under the title "Powering Ahead'" Umicore is hosting today and tomorrow its Capital Markets Day in Seoul, Korea.

As Umicore has passed the mid-point of its Horizon 2020 strategic plan, CEO Marc Grynberg will reflect on the progress achieved so far and highlight the ever strengthening megatrends that drive Umicore's key businesses, particularly the accelerating move to clean mobility.

Umicore's unprecedented growth opportunities in Automotive Catalysts will be presented by Pascal Reymondet, Executive Vice-President Catalysis. Increasingly stringent emission norms are driving massive value increase in catalysts both for passenger cars and heavy duty diesel and Umicore is set to outgrow the market through its technology leadership in key segments.

As Umicore widens the gap in xEV battery materials, Kurt Vandeputte, Senior Vice-President Rechargeable Battery materials will demonstrate how Umicore is harnessing product and process technology leadership and how its position in the supply chain will drive significant growth over the coming years.

CTO and Executive Vice-President Energy & Surface Technologies Denis Goffaux will present the innovation roadmap in clean mobility materials highlighting Umicore's unique position at every step along the innovation pipeline.

Visitors on site will have the privilege to visit Umicore's flagship battery materials plant in Cheonan and Umicore's Automotive Catalysts Technology Center in Incheon.
