Wichita Optometry Expands Services With the Purchase of Two Practices

WICHITA, Kan., June 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Wichita Optometry, P.A., a full-service optometrist in Wichita, KS, is pleased to announce the expansion of its service area with the purchase of two additional optometry practices: Mulvane Vision Care and Wichita Vision Care. Mulvane Vision Care is located at 415 S.E. Louis Blvd. in Mulvane, KS and Wichita Vision Care is located at 12111 W. Maple St., Suite 125 in Wichita, KS. The new locations bring to four the number of offices providing professional eye care services under the Wichita Optometry name.

The expansion will also include the addition of Dr. Kevin Cline and Dr. Amy Krier Goertz to the Wichita Optometry team. They will be joining the existing staff of Chad Fleming OD, Ashley Blasi OD, Drew Heide OD, Melia Nguyen OD and Jeff Yarrow OD as independent primary health care providers who examine, diagnose, manage, and treat disorders and diseases of the visual system, the eye and associated structures; fit patients for glasses and contact lenses; and diagnose related health conditions.

"For over 29 years, I have cared for my patients in Wichita and Mulvane,” stated Kevin Cline OD, FCOVD. “I want to thank those patients for the loyalty and trust they placed in my services and the services of my staff. I have decided to sell my practice and entrust my patients' overall vision care to Wichita Optometry, but my staff and I will remain working with the practice to continue providing the same great care they have come to expect."

The vision services provided by the additional practices will complement the family eye care and optical products delivered to infants, children and adults by Wichita Optometry. Services comprise comprehensive eye exams, eyeglasses including an in-house brand, contact lenses, and pre- and post-operative care. The doctors also treat a wide range of eye diseases including diabetic retinopathy, pink eye (conjunctivitis), astigmatism, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eyes, red eyes, and amblyopia.

Wichita Optometry has a long history of providing quality, personalized eye care in the West Wichita area that goes back to its founding at Dougal and Seneca by Dr. Byron Babb in 1920. “We welcome these new additions to our team, and look forward to working with them to provide eye care to the residents of Wichita and the surrounding communities,” commented Jeffrey H. Yarrow, OD who joined the practice in 1993. “Dr. Cline and Dr. Goertz mesh perfectly with our core values of quality care and service, integrity and excellence.”
