The seminar will provide attendees with a detailed overview of OPEN MINDS’ best practice model for developing strategy in a changing market including:

  • Strategic Planning – Attendees will learn how to create a vision for their organization, including the development of long-term positioning and short-term, quantifiable objectives. Utilizing a scenario-based planning approach, Mr. Naughton-Travers will explain how to identify market scenarios and their implications through both internal and external analysis, and then use those scenarios to develop a strategy and high-level tactics to move their organization forward.
  • Planning For Strategy Implementation – Attendees will discuss the keys to strategy implementation success, including how to develop a budget and detailed strategy execution plans. Mr. Naughton-Travers will also discuss how to develop a set of key performance metrics tied to your strategic plan and the importance of metrics that allow you to track your progress and adjust course in real time.
  • Strategy Implementation – Attendees will explore how to successfully move their organization’s strategy into action by optimizing current organizational operations, developing new service lines, or considering new partnerships to achieve strategic objectives.

“A disciplined strategic planning process is more important than ever in today’s market. This includes a market-focused review of external factors impacting your organization and a frank assessment of internal capabilities and your service line portfolio and performance,” said Mr. Naughton-Travers. “I’ll be presenting not only our best-practice model for planning and implementation, but also case studies of organizations that have both failed and succeeding in implementing their strategic plans.”
