Beazley expands pre-breach offerings to give cyber policy holders more tools to avoid and minimize data breaches

New York, July 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leading cyber insurer Beazley has launched two further client education initiatives as part of its 360o approach to cyber risk management.  More policyholders are now eligible for risk management workshops, with new offerings for information security best practices and business continuity planning.  Alongside the expanded workshop program,  clients can now access Beazley Privacy Builder, a proprietary data privacy and security toolkit for US cyber policyholders.

Larger companies that purchase Beazley Breach Response (BBR), Beazley’s market-leading cyber policy, can now benefit, as part of their policies at no additional cost, from a wider range of educational interactive workshops and seminars, focusing on incident response planning, information security best practices, and business continuity planning.  Access to the newly expanded options is subject to a minimum premium threshold of $50,000.

These new offerings are in addition to Beazley’s popular on-site incident response workshops available to its largest BBR clients.  These complement the risk management training resources on www.beazleybreachsolutions.com, Beazley’s cyber risk client portal, that are available at no additional cost to all of Beazley’s cyber policyholders and include live business continuity planning webinars.

Beazley has also launched Privacy Builder, a 10-module toolkit covering a wide range of data privacy and cyber-security essentials designed to help policyholders improve their resilience to cyber risks and prepare for regulators’ increased focus on privacy practices.  The modules range from developing a governance structure, to auditing a program and keeping it up to date, with a host of resources available that allow organisations to create their own cyber and privacy policies, plan for incident response, and embed privacy protections in their operations.  Rolling out over the course of 2018, specific modules will focus on managing third party vendors, training employees and cross border data transfer.

Katherine Keefe, global head of Beazley Breach Response Services, said: “Our expanded program of client workshops and Privacy Builder add to our robust program of pre- and post-breach services which, alongside our proven incident response expertise, provide our clients with the full 360 degree continuum of tools and resources they need to optimise their cyber resilience at a time when the threat to business operations from cyber-attacks continues to soar.”
