VAUGHAN, ONTARIO, July 23, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- York Group of Companies (“York”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Brunetti as its new President & COO effective Monday, July 30th, 2018.
As President & COO, Brian will lead York to ensure effective and profitable operations while driving the company's strategic plan. Brian’s proven operational and technical skills in conjunction with his corporate development experience and effective management style are an ideal fit with York as we expand its business platform to be a comprehensive service provider in the environmental sector. With Brian’s leadership and the support of strong management team already in place, York is well positioned to provide competitive environmental services including site excavation and related civil works, demolition, remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater, haulage, and waste receiving, treatment and transfer facilities management.
Brian brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience from both national and global companies. Brian joins us from successful tenures at both public and private companies, most recently as President & COO of Route1 Inc. from 2010 to 2018 where he led the company to deliver award-winning security and identity management solutions to customers worldwide. Prior to joining Route1, Brian was the Executive Vice President of AGAT Laboratories from 2009 to 2010, responsible for AGATs network of environmental and mining laboratories across Canada, Senior Vice President of Corporate Development with Englobe from 2003 to 2008, with joint responsibility of the Ontario environmental operations and leading corporate development team. From 1998 to 2003, Director of Operations of C.D. Sonter Management, prior to 1998 Brian performed environmental consulting roles from 1995 to 1998 at Jacques Whitford Environment Limited and Egmond Associates Inc.
Brian is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, holding a joint Bachelor of Engineering and Management (Civil Discipline) from the Faculty of Engineering at McMaster University and the Michael G. DeGroote School of Business.
Brian’s background coupled with his experience in the environmental industry and his sound business knowledge will be an asset as he transitions to his new role.
