The Children’s Miracle Network raises funds for more than 170 member hospitals, providing 32 million treatments for kids in need, across the US and Canada. Local donations help fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
As the first corporate partner of CMNH, Marriott has raised over $115 million for the program since 1983 and continues to donate time and money to this special cause. From programs like Breakfast and Aquafina Campaign to Root Beer Float Day, as well as signature events like golf tournaments, fun runs, and extra life, Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center has been committed to this wonderful cause in its local area.
On Saturday, June 16th at the Detroit Zoo, the Walk for Miracles continued the fundraising tradition, with registration including full-day admission to the zoo, a healthy breakfast, photo ops and a kids craft corner. This charitable event helped raise money and awareness for Beaumont treatment centers throughout metro Detroit.
In addition, CMN Bike Day saw great success with team members donating 34 bikes to patients in need. CMN donated an additional 84 bikes from funds thanks to Marriott’s year-round donations and fundraising in southeastern Michigan. This allowed dozens of patients, alongside their family and friends, to ride a bike for the first time and get some much-needed Vitamin D.
