iCIMS Named to Hot 100 List by JMP Securities

Cloud-based recruitment software provider honored among leading privately held software companies, recognized for ethical artificial intelligence and machine learning practices

HOLMDEL, N.J., July 31, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- iCIMS, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based talent acquisition solutions, announced today the company has been named to the 2018 Hot 100 list for the best privately held software companies by JMP Securities, a San Francisco-based investment firm.

The Hot 100 private software companies are selected by the firm’s Equity Research team based on multiple sets of criteria, including financial growth, products and services, quality of leadership, customers, and market potential. The 2018 edition’s theme is the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in enterprise software.

“As the only consumer-facing facet of human resources, recruitment software is held to a higher standard in terms of transparency and user experience,” said iCIMS Chairman and CEO, Colin Day. “I believe iCIMS continues to thrive with high growth in the enterprise market thanks to our exclusive focus on the talent acquisition function and the resulting agility to adapt to emerging technologies with care.”

In the report, JMP explains, “In particular, we think CEOs can help drive ethical design practices in this area by sharing five principles with the product development and engineering teams.” JMP refers to these principles as the five commandments: do not violate people’s privacy, be honest, produce explainable results, be fair and be safe.

“The theme of this year’s JMP report is spot on with current hiring industry trends, like the recent entry of Google for Jobs and the many applications for machine learning and artificial intelligence within the job seeking process,” added Day. “I have always held the implied contract of trust between job candidates and employers in high regard and am extremely proud to be held among other elite software organizations recognized for protecting the data rights of its users.”

iCIMS was previously recognized on the Hot 100 List in 2017, and this year is joined by other high-performing privately held software companies like Slack, Acquia and Entelo.

In 2018, Day was named one of the Top CEOs in the U.S. Small and Medium Business (SMB) category on Glassdoor. iCIMS was recognized for the fourth consecutive year by the Stevie American Business Awards in the Customer Service Department of the Year category and as a leading software provider by G2 Crowd in their Spring 2018 ATS Grid report. iCIMS was also named a leader in the IDC MarketScape on Talent Acquisition in 2017.
