SPX Enhances Global Leadership Team


CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SPX Corporation (NYSE:SPXC) today announced the expansion of its global executive leadership team, with the addition of Ankush Kumar, who has joined the company as President, HVAC Cooling. In addition, Randy Powell, a current executive, will lead SPX’s Process Cooling business.

The addition of Mr. Kumar and the expertise of Mr. Powell strengthen the dedicated leadership and global growth and management capabilities of the company. These additional resources and enhanced strategic focus support SPX’s initiatives of increasing its global presence in HVAC Cooling and growing sales of parts, components and services in Process Cooling.

Mr. Kumar brings an extensive background in strategy development, global operations, M&A, channel management, and strategic pricing. He joins SPX Corporation from Gardner Denver Holdings, Inc., a global industrial manufacturer, where he led the fluid transfer equipment and compressor systems business. Prior to Gardner Denver, he spent 13 years at McKinsey & Company’s Global Energy Equipment and Services practice, where his focus was growth through strategy deployment, business development and commercial performance transformation. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.
