Eventbrite Names Helen Riley to its Board of Directors

San Francisco, CA, Aug. 15, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eventbrite, a global ticketing and event technology platform that powers millions of events, today announced the appointment of Helen Riley to its board of directors. Riley is the Chief Financial Officer at X, an Alphabet company, where she leads the teams that pave the way for moonshot technologies — like self-driving cars and balloon-powered internet — to become successful businesses.

“Helen’s sharp financial acumen combined with a proven track record for identifying strategic investments and fueling growth initiatives make her a fantastic addition to our board,” said Julia Hartz, CEO and co-founder of Eventbrite.

Riley joined X following a fifteen year career at Google where she led global finance and analytics for Google’s marketing teams, focused on products such as YouTube, Search and Android. Prior to her tenure at Google, she was a strategy consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in San Francisco and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in London. With a lifelong passion for wildlife, Riley is also a board member of WildAid, a wildlife conservation non-profit.

“I’m thrilled to be aligned with a brand that understands the unique needs of each individual customer and is committed to delivering them exceptional value,” said Riley. “I look forward to helping Eventbrite continue to empower event creators of all shapes and sizes around the world.”
