SANTA ROSA, Calif., Aug. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Emerald Cup (the “Cup”) one of the cannabis industry’s premier culture and awards events, announced today that the City of Santa Rosa has granted the event a local event license for the annual celebration, taking place December 15 and 16, 2018 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, Calif.
The Emerald Cup received approval after submitting its application in June 2018, which requires applicants to be in compliance with local Santa Rosa event regulations and restrictions. With its local permit secured, the Emerald Cup will pursue the appropriate California state-issued licenses.
This year’s Cup is the fifteenth running of the annual event and will offer cannabis enthusiasts from all over the world a chance to participate in a unique, highly-curated experience across three venues over two days. The lineup will feature acclaimed musical acts, presentations from over 50 industry experts, artists and educators. There will be product and flower judging across multiple categories, as well as a range of the most respected exhibitors and retailers offering food, products and entertainment. The headlining acts, speakers and artists will be announced over the coming weeks.

Tickets are available for purchase through the Emerald Cup website, as well as ticket retailer Eventbrite. Weekend passes start at $120 and attendees must be over the age of 21. This year’s event will be a celebration of the new ways of thinking and living within cannabis culture.
