CircusTrix Builds 300th Park, Reinforces Leadership Role in Indoor Recreation Industry

The Company Was Also Recognized for the Second Consecutive Year on The Inc. 5000 List And Named Utah’s Second Fastest-Growing Company by Utah Business Magazine

PROVO, Utah, Aug. 22, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CircusTrix, the leading developer, operator and franchisor of indoor active recreation parks worldwide, today announced the opening of its 300th park in Orlando, Florida, known locally as Defy Orlando. The company is also expected to open 24 more parks by the end of the year. This announcement comes as a result of the rapid growth the company has experienced in recent years, including the acquisition of its largest competitor, Sky Zone, earlier in 2018. CircusTrix is now the largest and fastest-growing company in the indoor recreation industry with parks around the world that have become the training grounds for future American Ninja Warriors, traceurs, and acrobats alike.

“These past few years have been an exciting time of growth for CircusTrix and we are thrilled to have become the largest company in the industry,” said Case Lawrence, CEO of CircusTrix. “We look forward to continuing this momentum as we expand our presence throughout the U.S. and abroad and hope to have nearly 17,000 employees worldwide by the end of this year.”

Because of the company’s rapid expansion, CircusTrix has also received recognition both locally and nationally for its growth, including recognition as 2018’s second-fastest growing company in Utah on Utah Business Magazine’s Fast 50 list, as well as ranking in the top 2,000 fastest-growing private companies on the Inc. 5000 list two years in a row.

“It is humbling to see what we have become as a company. So many great team members, investment partners, and friends have sacrificed so much to help us scale to where we are now,” said Lawrence. "Given the continued relevance and growth of our industry, I am optimistic about what the future holds. We are ready to meet any obstacle we face."

Lawrence founded CircusTrix in 2011 in Fresno, California, and quickly expanded it to 28 locations globally in the first four years. That growth not only laid a strong foundation for CircusTrix (allowing the company to ultimately acquire its two largest competitors — Rockin’ Jump and Sky Zone) but also played an integral role in growing the indoor recreation industry 75 percent during that time. CircusTrix was also ranked as the 119th fastest-growing consumer company by Inc. Today, the industry is valued at $1.4 billion and is expected to grow to $3.23 billion by 2023.
