Per Aarsleff A/S has entered into a contract with Carlsberg Byen P/S for the construction of the Carlsberg City's tallest residential tower. At 120 metres it will become the tallest residential building in Copenhagen.

The building will be constructed in the central part of the Carlsberg City District, comprising a total building area of 76,000 square metres taken up by the residential tower as well as residential blocks, industry, stores and basement.

General Manager of Aarsleff, Ebbe Malte Iversen says: “It has been a pleasure to collaborate with the Carlsberg City, the architects and the engineers in the planning phase. The Carlsberg City’s collaboration model has been a good and open process making the building phase more efficient. It will be a well-prepared and thought-out building process.”

CEO of the Carlsberg City, Jens Nyhus says: ”We have composed a really strong team which in the planning phase has shown that they understand the Carlsberg City’s collaboration model. I am convinced that Aarsleff with their professional, quality-conscious and collaborative approach can continue embedding the good work from the first phase into the completed building.”

The contract is a design and build contract, and the Aarsleff Group company Wicotec Kirkebjerg A/S will carry out the technical installations. The other parties of the project are Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, Wingårdhs, 1:1 Landskab, ÅF Buildings Denmark (formerly known as Midtconsult) and BG&E.

The building work begins when the design work has been completed. Expected completion will be during the first half of 2022.

The contract has a value of approx. DKK 1.2 billion.

The contract does not affect Aarsleff's earnings expectations for the financial year 2017/18.
