Swimlane to Support McAfee’s Advanced Security Operations Center

Technical alliance with security orchestration, automation and response solution set to further advance SOC capabilities

Louisville, Sept. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Swimlane, a leader in security orchestration, today announced its security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) platform has been selected by McAfee, the device-to-cloud cybersecurity company, for integration into the McAfee security operations center (SOC). Swimlane will automate and orchestrate a wide range of use cases surrounding incident response and other McAfee SOC processes. The integration across McAfee’s own product line and other third-party platforms within the SOC is designed to extend the efficacy of its security staff and technology stack.

McAfee conducted an in-depth search for a SOAR platform that could automate and orchestrate numerous use cases. McAfee ultimately selected the Swimlane SOAR platform for its flexibility, speed, ease-of-use and for its ability to seamlessly integrate and operate within McAfee’s SOC. With the integration of the Swimlane SOAR platform, McAfee will significantly reduce its investigation time of phishing emails while gathering more information than analysts could manage manually.

“When it comes to the SOC, no one company can provide it all. Across cybersecurity we must collaborate and create open solutions that can interoperate, and assist us in getting ahead of our adversaries,” said McAfee Chief Information Security Officer Grant Bourzikas. “Since launching the McAfee next-generation SOC, we’ve worked extensively to evaluate and integrate with the right partners to ensure we have the best-in-class SOC. The integration of Swimlane’s SOAR platform will deliver critical orchestration and automation we need to further improve response time across our SOC case management.”

“With McAfee’s commitment to having an open SOC that works across a broader security ecosystem, we are proud to have earned McAfee’s business and look forward to working with them as a strategic partner,” said Cody Cornell, Swimlane co-founder and CEO. “McAfee brings a wealth of experience and expertise as a world leader in security. By working closely, Swimlane will be able to deliver industry-leading SOAR capabilities and gain valuable insight to help shape future capabilities.”
