NEW YORK , Sept. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (BICSI Fall Conference, booth #812) - The Association for Passive Optical LAN (APOLAN), the non-profit organization driving both education and adoption for passive optical local area networks (POL), is showcasing its latest POL initiatives and the Association’s recent advancements at the BICSI 2018 Fall Conference & Exhibition.

“Each year the Association for Passive Optical LAN brings its expertise and market leadership to the BICSI Fall conference with an impressive line-up of events, and this year is no exception,” said Alan Bertsch, Qypsys President and APOLAN Chairman. “Our members include the most innovative movers and shakers in the industry, bringing a breadth of expertise, insight and vision that is a testament to our mission to educate and drive awareness of the superiority of POL.”

Time-tested and proven, POL provides the simplicity, scale and bandwidth to address current and future LAN needs, while enabling capital savings and ongoing operational savings compared to traditional copper-based networks. POL is quickly growing as a cost-effective replacement for traditional copper LANs by reducing power, space and cooling requirements, while increasing the longevity of structured cabling.

APOLAN’s events at the BICSI Fall Conference reinforce the significant opportunity for POL in the industry. BICSI attendees can learn more about APOLAN membership opportunities, as well as its education and advocacy work Sept. 9-13 at booth #812.
