Corum Client Captio Acquired by Certify, Creating Global Expense Management Leader

Zurich, Sept. 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Corum Group International, the leading M&A advisory firm for software and related technology companies, today announces that its client, Captio, based in Spain, has been acquired by US-based Certify. The transaction brings together two leaders in the expense management space and gives Captio a significant European footprint as it competes head-to-head with Concur. The combined company now has over 10,000 customers in over 90 countries.

“We are proud to have helped Captio create this global partnership,” said Corum Group VP Peter Prince, who led the deal. “The process we went through gives us confidence that Certify is the right acquirer for Captio, and that the combined company will go on to do great things.”

Captio is based in Spain and was founded in 2012 by Joel Vicient, Dan Moser, Joaquim Segura and Lluís Claramonte. Captio offers an end to end cloud-based expense management platform with robust mobile capabilities and the ability to comply with specific country-based taxation requirements. Vicient and Captio’s in-country managers will join Certify’s leadership team.

Certify is a leading online travel and expense management solution for companies of all sizes, and a portfolio company of K1 Investment Management.

“Captio has captured significant market share in Europe through a combination of great technology, first-class customer service, and skilled leadership,” says Robert Neveu, President and CEO of Certify. “We are excited to bring them into the Certify family.”
