Nightstar Announces Closing of Public Offering and Full Exercise of Underwriters’ Option


WALTHAM, Mass. and LONDON, Oct. 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nightstar Therapeutics plc (NASDAQ:NITE), a clinical-stage gene therapy company developing treatments for rare inherited retinal diseases, today announced the closing of its underwritten public offering of 4,600,000 American Depositary Shares (“ADSs”) representing 4,600,000 ordinary shares, at a public offering price of $18.00 per ADS, which includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to an additional 600,000 ADSs. The aggregate gross proceeds to Nightstar from the offering were $82.8 million, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by Nightstar. All ADSs sold in the offering were offered by Nightstar.

Jefferies LLC, Barclays Capital Inc. and UBS Investment Bank are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. Wedbush Securities Inc. and Chardan are acting as co-managers.
