SECUDE HALOCORE 5.1 automatically protects SAP downloads with the new Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) SDK

With the new version of HALOCORE, data exports from SAP are automated and provided with the appropriate document protection of the new Microsoft Information Protection SDK without changing the workflows

WALLDORF, Germany, Oct. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SECUDE, SAP partner and leading data security provider specializing in security for SAP® software,, today announced the release of 5.1. With the new version, the protection features of the solution have been adapted to the new interfaces of the recently published Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) SDK. Microsoft partnered solutions can now automatically address the protection features, such as labeling and protection, that are now equally used in all Microsoft Information Protection solutions. In addition, for example, protected PDF documents can now be used natively in Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Its unique integration with Microsoft Azure Information Protection (AIP) also ensures that common office applications recognize and automatically apply the security classifications of each file. “SECUDE shares Microsoft’s vision of protecting customers’ sensitive data so we see HALOCORE as a natural bridge that connects Microsoft Azure Information Protection with SAP applications’ security control mechanism and as such a mutually beneficial proposition,” says Gagan Gulati, Head of Product for Azure Information Protection at Microsoft Corp.

With HALOCORE 5.1 SECUDE offers an intelligent software solution that controls the export of sensitive data from the SAP systems. On the basis of a company-wide data classification, the rights for data exports from SAP can be determined individually, the download of especially sensitive data can be limited and a clear follow-up of all data transactions can be carried out. One of the main objectives of SECUDE is to simplify the automation of HALOCORE. HALOCORE 5.1 is based on new, powerful rules and configuration templates (available for SAP HR and SAP FI / CO) to easily meet classification and reaction requirements, even in complex use cases. This new "engine" also provides the foundation for forthcoming automation initiatives that incorporate machine learning concepts.
