Introducing Storyflow: Alexa-Enabled Hub for Interactive Voice-Controlled Entertainment

TORONTO, Oct. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Storyflow, the first platform and hub for interactive voice entertainment on smart speakers (ie. choose-your-own-adventure-style stories or games directed by voice) today announced its launch on Alexa, and the close of $500,000 in seed funding led by Ripple Ventures. The seed funding will be used to acquire new talent and scale the platform’s enterprise capabilities.

Storyflow is a central hub for interactive voice entertainment on smart speakers. Storyflow’s platform helps individuals and organizations create, distribute and monetize interactive voice entertainment, allowing content creators to publish directly to voice apps on smart speakers without the need for coding.

“There is a growing number of smart speakers in homes across North America, with the rate of adoption trending higher than that of the mobile phone, targeting 75 per cent household penetration within the next two years,” said Braden Ream, Co-Founder and CEO, Storyflow. “Smart speaker voice entertainment is growing and Storyflow makes it easy for people to find voice entertainment they love, and for creators to quickly build and monetize this content on smart speakers. Think of us like the YouTube for voice entertainment, where the best content is recommended for you, and anyone can create and share this content, without coding.”

Storyflow’s drag-and-drop visual builder makes the ability to create voice content simple and accessible for any user – whether parents, educators or business enterprise. The creative tool can be used for experiences including interactive stories, role-playing games, or educational content for the classroom.

The company’s first genre of entertainment is the production of ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ style interactive children’s content that families can play together by speaking back and forth with the characters in the story and making choices that affect the story’s outcome.
