ForeScout Named a Leader in IoT Security and Awarded Best Product for Network Access Control

ForeScout’s visibility platform recognized in 2018 Cyber Defense Global Awards program

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ForeScout Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSCT), a leading Internet of Things (IoT) security company, today announced it was recognized as a winner in two Cyber Defense Global Awards 2018 categories including “Leader of Internet of Things Security” and “Best Product Network Access Control.” These wins confirm the company’s unique ability to provide network security that enables commercial and government organizations to see all devices on the network, control connected systems, and orchestrate incident response and device remediation.

The ForeScout device visibility platform has gained rapid, widespread adoption in the U.S. government community. The solution expands the capabilities and scope of network access control solutions by providing agentless visibility, control and automated security orchestration. The visibility platform is a foundational network security technology that addresses the most pressing needs by providing real-time discovery, classification, assessment and monitoring of devices.

“Cyber Defense Magazine spent six months searching the globe to find the most innovative and cutting-edge cyber security companies for our Cyber Defense 2018 Global Awards,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher, Cyber Defense Magazine. “ForeScout won two awards – one as the Best Product Network Access Control and one as the Leader of Internet of Things Security because it is an innovator on a mission to help stop breaches and get one step ahead of the next threat, proactively.”

ForeScout’s comprehensive focus on device visibility has made its security solution a technology of choice for the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is charged with fortifying the cybersecurity of government networks and systems by identifying cybersecurity risks on an ongoing basis and prioritizing incident response based on risk severity.

Similar to CDM, the Department of Defense’s “Comply To Connect” (C2C) program relies on the ForeScout platform as a key security technology.

“With the explosive growth of non-traditional devices on government networks, it is critically important to gain a consolidated view of government-owned PCs, laptops, servers, and mobile devices as well as BYOD, guest devices, IoT devices, operational technology (OT) systems, virtual machines, and especially rogue devices,” said Rob Greer, chief product officer at ForeScout. “These award wins are a true testament to how our technology and approach is critical to providing visibility and control of these devices to reduce the attack surface.”

ForeScout is raising the bar on device visibility and control by mitigating risk, reducing the attack surface and automating incident response across the extended enterprise network – from the campus to data center, cloud and critical infrastructure.
