5.50% Convertible Senior Notes Due 2021

NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: AFSI) (“AmTrust” or the “Company”) today provided a settlement election notice to all holders of its 5.50% Convertible Senior Notes Due 2021 (the “Notes”) (CUSIP 032359 AC5) stating that the Company has elected to settle all conversions of the Notes entirely in cash pursuant to Section 4.03(a)(1) of the First Supplemental Indenture, dated as of December 21, 2011, between the Company and The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Company, N.A., as trustee. This election is effective with respect to all conversions of the Notes occurring on or after October 19, 2018 and will remain effective until such time, if any, as the Company elects a different settlement method with respect to converted Notes.  This election applies only to the Notes and does not apply to any other outstanding series of the Company’s convertible notes.
