ROGERS & HOLLANDS® JEWELERS MAINTAIN HOLIDAY TRADITION TO REMAIN CLOSED ON THANKSGIVING DAY

Chicago, Ill, Oct. 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
For the 108th consecutive year, the nation’s oldest and largest family-owned and operated jewelry retailer, Rogers & Hollands® Jewelers and Ashcroft & Oak® Jewelers (REI), is opting to not open any of its 77 store locations on Thanksgiving Day. The family-owned jewelry retailer is renowned for their dedication to family and has stayed true to closing every year despite the expected surge of holiday shopping traffic.

Challenging a national trend of retailers providing increasingly early shopping hours on Thanksgiving Day, Rogers & Hollands is taking the position to support associates being home with families while alternatively offering special online sales for consumers eager to start shopping.

“Despite this being our industry’s busiest and most demanding time of year, our decision to close every Thanksgiving Day since we’ve been in business is based on our commitment to family spending quality time with loved ones during the holiday season,” said the President and CEO of Rogers Enterprises, Inc. “We respect the decisions of those competitors choosing to stay open on this day and hope that our customers support our decision to stay closed on Thanksgiving and not open our stores earlier than 6:00 am on Black Friday.”

Upon reopening on Friday, Rogers & Hollands and Ashcroft & Oak retail mall locations will feature Black Friday sales and incentives such as a 40 percent storewide sale including most of their engagement ring collection that typically never go on sale.  In addition, the retailer will offer their annual “Radiant Rewards” purchase promotion allowing customers to earn $100 coupon credit for every $300 spent in-store and online.
