Membership-based grocery delivery service expands partnership with Harris Teeter across three states and Washington D.C.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 01, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Shipt, a leading online grocery delivery marketplace, and Harris Teeter, one of the South Atlantic’s most beloved retailers, are celebrating over two and a half years of partnership this November. Today, Shipt is expanding same-day grocery delivery service from Harris Teeter across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C. This announcement grants access to same-day delivery from Harris Teeter to three new metro areas, while expanding service to three existing metro areas on Nov. 1:
- Delaware: Millsboro and Selbyville
- Maryland: Baltimore and St. Mary’s Peninsula
- Virginia: Charlottesville and Hampton Roads
- Washington D.C.
Shipt and Harris Teeter currently work together in 12 markets, with additional expansions planned for the Southeast region this fall. Following this expansion, Shipt and Harris Teeter will provide more than 2.5 million households with access to delivery of their favorite Harris Teeter products in as soon as one hour. Harris Teeter was one of Shipt’s first partners in early 2016, when the two companies launched delivery service in The Triad.
