NIC+ZOE Founder Recognized at 15th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business

Women's Fashion Brand Founder Dorian Lightbown Wins Bronze Stevie Award® For Mentor or Coach of the Year

Boston, Nov. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NIC+ZOE, an American fashion brand rooted in Boston, today announced its Founder, Designer, and Chief Creative Officer Dorian Lightbown has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Mentor or Coach of the Year – Business category in the 15th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Dorian was recognized amongst women around the world at the 2018 awards dinner in New York City on Friday, November 16, 2018.

Dorian Lightbown founded NIC+ZOE in 2005 to provide innovative knitwear and apparel for multifaceted women and has since built a successful and predominantly female organization that is proudly led by a talented group of senior female executives. A matriarch, mentor, and inspiration to the female talent she develops, and to the women for whom she designs, Dorian embodies a philosophy of mentorship and supporting others.

This award showcases how Dorian built her company on the foundation of mentoring and helping support other women. Dorian is dedicated to her team and her craft and throughout her career she has successfully recognized and developed top talent, created a family-like culture and caring work environment at NIC+ZOE, and has revolutionized the way busy, multifaceted women dress and navigate their everyday lives.

“I’ve always been inspired by the power of women coming together – some think of it as a network but I like to think of it as a knitwork, each stitch builds on the next resulting in a strong durable fabric – together there’s no limit to what we might achieve,” said Dorian Lightbown, founder, designer, and chief creative officer at NIC+ZOE. “It is an honor and truly humbling to be recognized alongside such successful and inspiring business women from around the world and I am excited to continue to encourage mentorship at NIC+ZOE and beyond.”
