Saia Boston-area Terminals Now Open

JOHNS CREEK, Ga., Dec. 10, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIA) announced that Saia LTL Freight opened two terminals today in Massachusetts. Both facilities are located west of Boston in Springfield and Westborough, Massachusetts. The new terminals are the first for Saia in the state and will allow the company to offer more direct shipping points to customers. These openings are a key step in our strategy to offer direct service to all 48 contiguous states.

"Our properties, sales, and operations teams have been hard at work making sure these new facilities are staffed and ready to provide our customers with industry leading service from day one," said Saia Executive Vice President of Operations Paul Peck. "Customers’ enthusiasm for our continued expansion in the Northeast has remained high. As such, we look forward to seeing the success of these two terminals in a market that has tremendous potential for Saia."

"Saia has opened 10 new terminals in the Northeast since last year and we’ve invested millions of dollars adding capacity in our legacy markets. These investments are a testament to our customer commitment of being a provider of national transportation services. As such, we’re creating even more value for our shippers,” concluded Peck.
