RDC Announces Growing Initiative to Offer Customized Services for Industrial Food Facilities

Company Reports Significant Momentum in the Industrial Arena, Serving a Wide Range of Customers from Amusement Parks to Grocery Stores and Innovative Food Production Companies

OAKLAND, Calif., Dec. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Restaurant Design Concepts (RDC), California’s only full-service restaurant architectural, interior design and operations company, today announced its rapidly growing initiative to offer customized services to Industrial Food Facilities.

The company has already experienced significant momentum in this arena, serving a wide range of Customers from Amusement Parks to Super Markets and Innovative Food Production Companies.

This reflects an ongoing trend across the food market in general. According to “World Packaged Food – Market Opportunities and Forecasts, 2014 – 2020,” by Research and Markets, the food market is expected to bring in revenue by 2020 of $3.03 trillion, registering a compound growth rate (CAGR) of 4.5 percent from 2015 to 2010.

Examples of recent industrial food production clients of RDC’s include Great America Amusement Park in Santa Clara, Bazaar Café, an upscale Indian super market in Pleasanton, St. Vartan’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Oakland and ReGrained, a plant in Berkeley that repurposes beer hops into energy bars, among others.

Additional projects include school kitchens, church kitchens, industrial food packaging facilities, food processing plants, hospital kitchens, Food Service Partners and Industrial kitchens.

“The increased growth we’re seeing in the industrial food production side of our business is not surprising, especially in the Bay Area, given the disruption that the food and restaurant industry in general is experiencing,” said Jeff Young, president of Restaurant Design Concepts. “Combine this with people’s growing expectation that that they should have easy and quick access to a variety of food that satisfies a spectrum of tastes and you have increasing numbers of producers popping up and looking for ways to innovate.”

Some of the many different services that RDC provides to its industrial customers include space planning for operations, cook line systems, prep stations, refrigerated storage, walk-in freezers, controlled air temperature circulation rooms, dishwashing stations, utility rooms with water boilers and water filtration systems and electrical control rooms.

“At RDC, we’re excited to see ongoing momentum in the industrial food production arena,” added Young. “We are looking forward to continuing to support these and all of our customers with solutions that position them for success.”

“At ReGrained, we live and breathe innovation, so we wanted a design partner that would first take time to understand our business and bring creative solutions to the table,” said Jordan Schwartz COO & Co-Founder, ReGrained.

“We definitely found that in RDC and we are looking forward to an ongoing relationship with the RDC team to achieve our goals.”
