SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 17, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Zephyr Real Estate has once again produced its annual calendar featuring distinct Bay Area highlights. This year’s theme focuses on the culture and community of the Bay Area by featuring photography of the City’s past. Historic imagery for this retrospective was provided by the San Francisco public library archives.
From Sutro Baths to the original Ferry Building, each month displays a monument or notable site that through circumstances, be it disaster or decay, was unable to stand the test of time. The calendar offers an artistic memento for those iconic symbols of the Bay Area.
Zephyr’s tradition of San Francisco-centric calendars goes back nearly 30 years. Themes have included famous stairways and slides (Chutes and Ladders – 2012), historic pubs and bars (San Francisco After Dark – 2009), movies set in San Francisco (Cinematic San Francisco – 2011) and food and drink invented in San Francisco (Savor San Francisco – 2010).
Part of the tradition includes returning proceeds back to the community to support various art and cultural programs. This year, however, all proceeds will go to the North Valley Community Foundation to support those who were affected by the recent devastating Camp Fire in Northern California.
“The calendar has become a much-anticipated souvenir for many of our clients and colleagues,” commented Melody Foster, Zephyr’s Vice President of Marketing. “The charitable aspect of the project makes it a very rewarding endeavor.”
Calendars may be obtained from Zephyr agents or by request at inquiries@zephyrre.com.
