OpenADR Alliance at DistribuTECH: Presenting DER-Enabled OpenADR Solutions and Hosting First Educational Seminar for 2019

WHEN: February 5-7, 2019 

WHERE: OpenADR Member Pavilion booth (#11543) in the main hall of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, LA

WHAT: At the OpenADR Alliance booth, #11543, exhibiting members will showcase their innovative programs, solutions, and developer resources based on the OpenADR standard for automated demand response. Additionally, more than 20 Alliance members will be presenting smart grid solutions throughout the exhibition.

WHO: These member companies will be co-exhibiting in the OpenADR Alliance booth: 

Connected Energy: Will show a high-definition (HD) Demand Management solution for Residential Direct Load Control (DLC), Smart Thermostat control, DER control, and Irrigation Load Control with OpenADR interoperability.

AO Smith and SkyCentrics: Will demonstrate how open standards hardware and OADR connectivity combined with SMART water heater technology, customer apps, and a utility DRMS (for Peak Shaving, Load Shifting, Energy Storage, Renewable Generation Integration and Load Balancing) can provide real-time grid support and a plentiful, controllable and energy efficient supply of hot water for customers. 

IPKeys Power Partners: Will showcase the OpenADR 2.0b Certified Virtual End Node (VEN) EISS®Box 3 and the Smart Residential & SMB Device Control End Point EISS®Cube. Demonstration of the EISS®Server which is an OpenADR 2.0b-certified Virtual Top Node (VTN) Server will also be available.

QualityLogic: As the official OpenADR Test Tools and Training partner of the OpenADR Alliance, QualityLogic will be discussing the latest release of the OpenADR test harness, our OpenADR VEN Cloud System, and our technical workshops. QualityLogic will also be announcing a new DER Protocol Evaluation service aimed at easing the challenges of selecting and implementing smart grid communications standards.

As part of our DER Product Showcase, the following OpenADR member companies will be showcasing their innovative DER solutions: Honeywell, IPKeys, Greenlots, OATI, AO Smith, Lutron and Universal Devices. Solutions address the following DER markets:
