Interstate Restoration opens office in Houston

Location will be key to ramp-up ability in disaster situations

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 23, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Interstate Restoration, one of North America’s leading disaster-recovery companies, has opened an office in Houston that will extend the company’s ability to provide restoration services to Texas clients.

Even before officially opening the doors, Interstate aided a 150-unit apartment complex in the Houston area that had suffered an electrical outage.  Interstate was able to cut in half the amount of time that the residents would otherwise have been without power.

“We had our general manager, Adam Ochoa, on the scene within minutes of the first call, and he quickly set into motion all the actions he knew would be required to get those apartments back online,” said Harley Jeanise, Interstate’s regional director.

As part of its mission, Interstate emphasizes the need to collaborate with clients before and during disaster situations to solve problems as quickly as possible and get those clients’ businesses back up and running. In the case of the electrical outage, the residents were without power for less than 48 hours.

The new Houston office at 3403 N. Sam Houston Parkway West gives Interstate about 8,000 square feet of flex space where the company can work and store strategic equipment. Eventually, it will have about 30 employees, including Ochoa, who has 15 years in the restoration industry. Many of the Houston employees, including a project manager, have extensive familiarity with Texas clients via their experience in the Interstate Dallas office.

“This expansion into Houston greatly extends the Interstate Restoration footprint in Texas and reiterates how committed we are as a company to making ourselves available to our clients where they need us most,” Jeanise said.
