DrChrono Becomes the First EHR Company to Be Certified for Meaningful Use Stage 3 for Native iOS App for iPad and iPhone, Completing Requirements for MACRA and MIPS

Medical practices using the DrChrono EHR platform will be ready for mandatory federal reporting and attesting to the Promoting Interoperability (PI) Programs

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DrChrono Inc., the company enabling the medical practice of the future, announces that the company has completed the requirements for ONC Certification, including Meaningful Use Level 3.

MU Stage 3 aims to develop the changes required to make the Meaningful Use program more flexible and less burdensome for providers, creating clarity in the process and promoting interoperability between EHRs and better patient outcomes. MU Stage 3 also brings an emphasis on measures that allow for the exchange of health information between patients and providers, to ensure that providers administer the best patient care they can give.

DrChrono has been enhancing its EHR platform with new features as part of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services EHR Incentive Program, i.e. Meaningful Use. In order to meet the Stage 3 requirements, the company updated features such as Family Medical History and exporting tools in order to offer faster and better sharing capabilities. The updates also include an updated MIPS Dashboard that will help medical practices keep track and gives enhancing visibility into their practice's compliance.

Michael Nusimow, Co-Founder and CEO, states, “I am proud to announce that we are certified for Meaningful Use Stage 3 and have met all government requirements. Unlike legacy EHRs that are not well equipped to keep up with the newest regulatory requirements for reporting and Meaningful Use, we are dedicated to meet the most updated regulatory compliance requirements and provide the latest healthcare technologies. Our commitment is to ensure our partners, physicians, and medical practices are ready for the changes that come with MACRA, MIPS as well as MU Stage 3.”

Edward Makaron, a MIPS/Promoting Interoperability expert and EHR consultant from EHRlinked states, “I am excited to hear that DrChrono is continuing its push forward with the latest Promoting Interoperability (formerly known as “Meaningful Use”) changes, and supporting Providers nationwide. I have been a consultant working with DrChrono and their clients for over 8 years, training them since the launch of Meaningful Use Stage 1, then Meaningful Use Stage 2, and now, I am excited to see them certified for Stage 3.”
