Integrity Viking Funds Commits to Growth and Expansion

MINOT, N.D., March 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integrity Viking Funds, a niche fund asset manager with a focus on income strategies across asset classes with a specialty in energy investing, is initiating a comprehensive growth strategy.

“We are actively expanding our sales teams in regions of the country where we don’t have coverage,” said Shannon Radke, CEO and a Founding Partner of Integrity Viking Funds. “The firm is looking to provide greater access to our mutual funds through national accounts platforms and to strengthen our sales team,” said Mr. Radke. “We also want to enhance our brand, engage with financial advisors through timely content, digital communications, and public relations, and potentially acquire or adopt other mutual funds.”

Integrity Viking Funds has partnered with two industry experts, Distribution Revolution and Sondhelm Partners, to help achieve their goals.

“Actively managed funds need an aggressive sales and retention strategy to compete in today’s passive management-dominated environment,” said Robert Mulligan, CEO of Distribution Revolution. “Firm introductions do not happen organically. We will look to introduce and strengthen Integrity Viking’s existing relationships with research teams from wirehouses, broker/dealers, Turnkey Asset Management Programs, and RIAs.”

Integrity Viking will also expand its marketing and public relations presence. “Many of today’s asset management firms find themselves overlooked by the investors and financial advisors who need them most,” said Dan Sondhelm, CEO of Sondhelm Partners. “We will ensure their experts and products are relevant in the marketplace. We look forward to helping Integrity Viking Funds stand out from the crowd with increased visibility, credibility, and thought leadership.”

In addition to organic growth, Integrity Viking will search for mutual funds that are stronger asset managers than marketers. “We seek to add to our mutual fund strategies and assets under management through acquisitions and adoptions of other mutual funds,” said Mr. Radke. “We are currently in talks with at least two fund families.”

Shannon Radke has been engaged in the securities business since 1988 as a broker and later as Chief Operating Officer of Integrity Mutual Funds. Mr. Radke founded Viking Fund Management, LLC in September 1998 and has served as Senior Portfolio Manager for various funds advised by Viking Fund Management, LLC since 1999. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Banking and Finance from the University of North Dakota. Mr. Radke has been President of Viking Fund Management, LLC since 1998 and is currently President of Integrity Viking Funds.

“We are excited to expand our firm’s investment strategies and engagement in the intermediary channel during 2019 and beyond,” said Mr. Radke.
