Volkswagen Groupe Retail France Deploys Fortinet’s Secure SD-WAN to Improve WAN Performance and Management

SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 20, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fortinet® (NASDAQ: FTNT), a global leader in broad, integrated and automated cyber security solutions, announced that Volkswagen Groupe Retail France (VGRF), France’s leading retail group of the Volkswagen Group’s brands, has deployed Fortinet’s FortiGate Secure SD-WAN and extended to SD-Branch across its branches, achieving secure LAN and WAN integration.

As part of the Security Fabric, Fortinet’s SD-WAN capabilities enabled by its NGFWs have allowed VGRF to adopt a hybrid WAN that helps connect geographically distributed WANs and route traffic over a variety of links, including MPLS. Fortinet’s FortiGate Secure SD-WAN solution is a single platform that provides multiple features, such as routing, WAN optimization, application control and next-generation security, enabling VGRF to manage its WAN and security systems from a single interface. As a result, VGRF can now differentiate between types of traffic across its WAN, making it possible to manage latency and prioritize business-critical applications and traffic.

With more than 2,300 employees across more than 70 locations in France, VGRF has revamped its network infrastructure over the past four years to achieve its business goals, including standardizing configurations across all its branches. VGRF was looking for a security provider who would offer a breadth and depth of solutions and features that are scalable and reliable. To achieve this, they deployed the Fortinet Security Fabric comprised of best-of-breed products and solutions, including Fortinet’s FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.

Volkswagen Groupe Retail France has achieved advanced security, complete visibility and easier management with a single-pane-of-glass through the Security Fabric. We are also delighted by Fortinet’s delivery of best-in-class performance as we leverage wireless access points, switches, access management platforms, and more provided through the Security Fabric.”
