  • Over 8 million endpoint devices secured by KACE solutions
  • UserKon 2019 planned for Fall, follows sold-out 2018 event

ALISO VIEJO, Calif., April 02, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Quest Software, a global systems management, data protection and security software provider, today announced strong momentum for its Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) business, with more than 10,000 organizations relying on Quest UEM solutions to provision, manage, secure and service virtually all network-connected devices. Additionally, the business announced that registration is open for KACE UserKon 2019, September 30 – October 3, 2019, Orlando. Last year’s sold-out event gathered KACE users from IT organizations across the globe. This year’s event, expecting to draw an even larger audience, will feature best practices related to a wide variety of vital IT functions supported by Quest KACE solutions.

On the heels of this success, Gary Broadwater was recently named president and general manager of the Quest UEM business. Gary has a rich history in endpoint management and will lead the business into a new phase of growth.

“It is very rewarding to see a growing number of organizations benefit from Quest UEM solutions, which are becoming more crucial given today’s increasingly mobile workforce, growth of IoT, and hyper-focus on endpoint security and compliance,” said Broadwater. “Risk is ever-increasing in a digital world with end users using more and varying devices with different operating systems. We’re committed to innovation and delivering solutions to market that equip customers with better control in securing multiple endpoints across the organization and proactively stay ahead of evolving vulnerabilities.”

KACE UserKon 2019 will take place in Orlando. The event is loaded with sessions and hands-on training from KACE experts, partners and fellow users to provide attendees with the knowledge they need to service their ever-increasing portfolio of network-connected devices. Attendees can also expect to gain a sneak peek at upcoming updates related to the KACE solution line.

Comprehensive Unified Endpoint Management for Growing Organizations
The UEM business hit significant milestones in 2018, with more than 8 million endpoints secured by Quest KACE products globally. The Quest KACE solutions not only improved endpoint security but delivered a strong return on investment.

  • Offering fast and automated OS provisioning, KACE Systems Deployment Appliance (SDA) has configured approximately 2.1 million endpoints for OS deployment.
  • Using the KACE Systems Management Appliance (SMA), customers have created nearly 50 million Service Desk tickets, in turn enabling organizations to proactively provision, manage, secure and service their growing endpoint environments.
  • KACE Desktop Authority and KACE Privilege Manager have collectively secured over 2M endpoints.
  • More than one billion documents have been scanned globally using KACE RemoteScan.
  • KACE SMA was awarded Best Endpoint Solution for the 2018 Golden Bridge Awards and InfoSecurity Product Guide Awards.

Several new versions of Quest KACE products were introduced over the past year, demonstrating the Quest UEM business’ commitment to innovation. The newest release of KACE SDA, announced in June, brings better control, ease of use and reporting to OS imaging. KACE Cloud Mobile Device Management (MDM) includes more security, control, and ease of use for managing Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. The KACE SMA solution was made future proof ready, addressing the adoption of next-generation technologies like IoT, making it easier for IT administrators to manage an array of devices attached to the network.

Addressing IT System and Device Challenges for Healthcare and Education
The Quest UEM business is dedicated to providing the system and device management solutions that organizations need, which is especially critical in the education sector, to support growth and secure diverse environments as newer systems and devices are added to the network infrastructure.

The KACE product line empowers IT by simplifying management, reducing costs and streamlining efficiencies, while simultaneously safeguarding data and ensuring that organizations meet security requirements and strict compliance regulations.

A KACE Education customer reports that they have seen significant time savings when implementing the KACE SDA to re-image their endpoints every summer to make way for new students to arrive in the Fall. According to Beth Skrobanski at Albemarle Public Schools, “We image systems every summer so the software that's going to be used in the coming school year is all new and up to date. Before we had the KACE SDA, it would take about two and a half hours to image a computer from start to finish. Now it takes us less than an hour.”

Healthcare organizations face similar pressures, with widely dispersed facilities and a proliferation of mobile devices used by doctors, nurses, home healthcare workers, and others.

“Security is a big deal in healthcare, and KACE helps keep us compliant,” said Rudy Bracey, System Administrator, St. Dominic Hospital. “Compliance with HIPAA played a big role in our decision to go with KACE.”

Continued Channel Success
