Wake Forest Claims Victory at 2019 Inmar Analytics Forum Business Analytics Competition

University and college students from across the U.S. presented innovative solutions in the data-driven business strategy contest


Winston-Salem, NC, April 16, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Inmar is pleased to announce that Wake Forest University won the 2019 Business Analytics Competition at the 2019 Inmar Analytics Forum on March 27, 2019 in Winston-Salem, NC. In partnership with the Wake Forest University School of Business, the competition featured graduate analytics students from seven U.S. universities who presented data-driven solutions to real-world business problems to win a $12,000 prize. Duke University and the University of Denver placed second and third in the competition, respectively.

The colleges and universities that participated in the 2019 Wake Forest University Graduate Business Analytics Case Competition included:

  • University of Denver
  • University of Tennessee Knoxville
  • Virginia Tech
  • Wake Forest University

Teams from each university and college presented a case study background and were evaluated on their presentation of the problems, objectives, limitations and abilities of the data-driven model they created that was aimed at solving real-world business problems. The judges included several senior executives from Inmar; including Rob Zomok, President of Global Operations; Rob Small, Senior Director of Supply Chain Performance Analytics; Curtis Grieve, Vice President of Liquidation; and Jeff Clouse, Director of Data Science.
