"Museum Magic Night": Connecting Museums for Inter-Civilizational Dialogue Was Held


DINGXI, China, Sept. 30, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On September 26, 2024, marking the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Majiayao culture, the Publicity Department of Lintao County Committee invited international and domestic experts and scholars, as well as representatives from the Swedish Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities, Nanjing Museum, Sanxingdui Museum, Yangshao Culture Museum, and the Majiayao Culture Research Institute, to participate in the online dialogue (Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EincPubUzUE&t=7s). The Majiayao culture is a cultural type of the late Neolithic period, named after the first discovery by Swedish geologist Andersson in 1924 in Majiayao Village, Lintao County. The Majiayao culture is known for its painted pottery, which is exquisitely shaped and decorated with rich and colorful patterns, and is considered the peak stage of Chinese painted pottery.
