COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - March 3, 2009) - TeamDynamix, the leading provider of
Web-based project
and portfolio management solutions for the higher education market,
today announced that the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the
University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has selected TeamDynamix as its PPM
solution. Following a successful pilot, a gradual group-by-group roll-out
is anticipated. The department will use TeamDynamix' Web-based solution to
plan IT projects, create timelines, monitor progress, and provide senior
management with an easy-to-use, visual status of current projects and
resources.
The TeamDynamix solution will enable UNLV's IT leadership to capture
important data across units by providing a central location for managing
all IT projects. With TeamDynamix'
portfolio planning tool, UNLV's OIT can manage project requests,
prioritize and score all potential projects, and streamline the project
startup and staffing process by managing resources and launching projects
directly through the Web. TeamDynamix Project
Dashboards provide OIT's leadership with a clear picture of what people
are working on, as well as any bottlenecks, while providing team members
with a comprehensive display of daily responsibilities and current issues.
"TeamDynamix understands the higher education market, and we decided to
deploy the company's solution because it met the unique needs of our
environment," said Wonda Yuhasz, WebCT Coordinator for UNLV. "Prior to
TeamDynamix, we did not have consolidated portfolio management processes so
members of our team used a variety of tools to manage their workload, from
spreadsheets to project management solutions such as MS Project or
SharePoint. I anticipate TeamDynamix will allow us to consolidate our team
under a single PPM system to manage all of our IT needs and resources. We
will be able to pull detailed reports and provide our leadership with the
information they need to make strategic decisions."
TeamDynamix provides UNLV with an easy-to-implement, web-managed approach
to project and portfolio management. The solution integrates processes and
metrics recommended by EDUCAUSE
Center for Applied Research and is specifically engineered for the
consensus- and committee-intensive higher education environment.
TeamDynamix is helping a growing number of higher education institutions to
increase their organizational efficiencies, maximize resources, facilitate
team collaboration, and cultivate individual responsibility and
productivity.
"Higher education operates differently then corporations, and as a result,
has different IT drivers, needs and challenges," said Andrew Graf, lead
analyst for TeamDynamix. "Over the last several years, we have worked
closely with higher education IT leaders and PMO directors to develop a
tailored solution that is easy to use and effectively and conveniently
communicates to all levels of users the relevant information they need to
do their jobs. We appreciate UNLV's trust in TeamDynamix and look forward
to working closely with the OIT as it continues to roll out TeamDynamix to
its IT departments, computer services groups and help desks."
