Fleches is a finalist in the "Executive of the Year" category, which is presented annually to a business leader who has "devoted time and energy to strengthen and transform the organization," according to the chamber website. "This includes specific situations or initiatives where the nominee's insight, discernment and ability to lead and inspire have guided his/her organization to a new level of growth, achievement and recognition."
Winners of Top Entrepreneurial awards will be announced Feb. 18 at a luncheon that will be held at the Rusty Pelican in Miami.

Fleches co-founded UDT in 1995 after entering the IT field while working in the labs at Miami Dade Community College. In addition to leading the company through constant change over the years, one of his most significant accomplishments is the company's year-over-year growth through the recession. UDT grew over 500 percent between 2008 and 2014.
UDT is a founding member of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Hispanic Business Enterprise Program. Fleches received the Hispanic Businessman of the Year Award from the U.S Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2015.
